LEGION BASEBALL : Bible Belts Lead West to 27-25 Victory

Gavin Bible had six of Woodland Hills West’s 23 hits in a wild 27-25 victory Saturday over North Hollywood East at El Camino Real High.
Bible had a double and triple, scored six runs and drove in five in a District 20 game.
Mike Glendenning had five hits and scored four runs, and Steve Nelson added four hits, including a grand slam, and nine runs batted in for Woodland Hills West (8-8).
Dave Tuizer had five hits, including a double and a home run, scored five runs and drove in five for North Hollywood East (4-13).
West Hills 9, Verdugo Hills 7--Gabe Crecion’s two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth gave West Hills (16-1) the victory at Chaminade. Loren Geller and Mark Martin each had three hits for Verdugo Hills (12-5).
Woodland Hills East 11, Sunland-Tujunga 4--Greg Venger had four hits, stole five bases, scored four runs and drove in two for Woodland Hills East (9-7-1) at Taft High.
Antelope Valley South 11, Granada Hills East 10--Jeff Langham had four hits, scored three runs and drove in two for Antelope Valley South (9-8).
Jason Elizando had three hits and scored three runs, and Charles Cooke and Jeremy Hendrickson each added three RBIs for Antelope Valley South.
North Hollywood West 10, San Fernando 3--North Hollywood West rallied for seven runs in the seventh inning to snap a 3-3 tie. Otoniel Flores had a double and a home run, driving in three runs and scoring two for North Hollywood West (7-10).
Newhall 13, Antelope Valley North 9--Newhall (16-1) rallied from an 8-0 second-inning deficit to win at Canyon High.
Brian Barron had four hits and Jeremy Seipel, Mike Bland and Chad Ott each added three hits.
Encino 17, Palmdale 13--Andy Campanella had five hits and drove in four runs, and Brian Felton, Brian Luderer and Mike Turner each added three hits and three RBIs for Encino (9-8) at Palmdale.
Shad Martin and Ben Mia each had three hits for Palmdale (7-8).
Valley North 12, Quartz Hill 8--Danny Phillips had two hits for Valley North at Quartz Hill High.
Studio City 14, Burbank South 6--A.J. Palma and Gus Lira each drove in four runs for Studio City.
Sepulveda 2-1, Panorama City 0-17--Joe Cohen of Sepulveda pitched a five-hitter in the opener. Panorama City’s Nick Reker had a four-hitter in the second game.
DISTRICT 16
Camarillo 11, Royal 5--Mike Muller had three hits, including a home run and a double, and scored three runs, and Charlie Boch had three hits--including a home run--scored three runs and drove in two for Camarillo (10-2).
Westlake-Royal-Oak 15, Thousand Oaks 0--Phil Derryman (6-1) allowed three hits over five innings, striking out six for Westlake-Royal-Oak (10-2).
Ventura 10-12, Simi Valley 6-7--Ventura’s Danny Harrison had six hits in the doubleheader at Simi Valley High.
