Terry Stoller, American Legion District 20 chief umpire, has denied Verdugo Hills’ protest that an unofficial baseball was used in a game against West Hills on Saturday.
Stoller ruled that the infraction did not affect the outcome of the game, which West Hills won, 9-7. Stoller also said Verdugo Hills Coach Spiro Psaltis waived his right to protest the unofficial ball because he was aware of it in the fourth inning but did not protest until the eighth.
