IRVINE : Students Learn About Cancer Up Close

Twelve high school students recently participated in a program to learn about cancer research from a hands-on perspective, working with mentors from UC Irvine.
The American Cancer Society and UCI have worked together for the last seven years to provide mentors for high school students and facilities to graduate students through the Science and Research Fellowship Program. Rockwell has sponsored the program with a $14,000 gift and will host a reception Tuesday to honor this year’s participants.
