Three Kansas State football players were arrested for an alleged assault in August, a fight that reportedly began over a complaint about noise and ended with two roommates and their dog injured.
Backup quarterback Brian Kavanagh, linebacker Percell Gaskins and defensive end Nyle Wiren turned themselves in at the police station.
They were charged with two counts of battery and one count each of criminal damage to property, conspiracy to commit battery and cruelty to animals, police said.
The players appeared before a judge, who released them on their own recognizance. All three face potential fines and jail time. Their court date is Nov. 1.
One victim, Steve Kirkland, alleged several football players broke into the house and assaulted him, his roommate, Matthew Aupperle, and Aupperle’s dog, the Kansas City Star said.
