COMMITMENTS : Three Athletes Make Their College Choices

Allen Krist, a 6-foot-8 center for the Santa Margarita basketball team, orally committed to attend Southern Methodist University, his mother, Bobbie, said Tuesday.
Krist, Sea View League most valuable player and a Times Orange County second-team selection, averaged 15.4 points and 8.7 rebounds last season.

Mater Dei’s Allison Luckey orally committed to attend University of the Pacific, girls’ Athletic Director Geri Gainey said.
Luckey, a 5-4 point guard, averaged 7.5 points and six assists for the Monarchs, who won the Southern Section Division I-A championship and reached the state title game.

Calvary Chapel’s Jenny Roberts orally committed to the University of Hawaii to play volleyball, according to Eagles’ Coach Jim Downey.
Roberts, a senior middle blocker, helped the Eagles win their first State championship last season. Calvary Chapel also won Southern Section titles in Roberts’ sophomore and junior seasons.
