In another Alpha League game:
Village Christian 24, Maranatha 6--Chris Coleman passed for two touchdowns, completing six of 17 for 147 yards at San Marino High. Aaron Funk had 82 yards and a touchdown in 14 carries for Village Christian (7-2, 4-0).
The Crusaders held Maranatha (1-8, 1-3) to 123 total yards.
Both of Coleman’s touchdown passes came in the first quarter, and the Crusaders increased the lead to 21-0 before halftime on Funk’s two-yard touchdown run.
Village Christian’s Andy Rotunno kicked a 27-yard field goal.
