South Bay : Man Kills Girl, 17, Then Shoots Self

An apparently distraught young man shot and killed a 17-year-old girl Friday while she clutched their baby. He then fired at the girl’s mother before turning the gun on himself and ending his own life, Torrance police said.
Two-year-old Marina Trejo suffered only powder burns in the 8:35 a.m. shootings that left her mother and father, Hillary Bartolomeo and Valentin Trejo, 20, dead.
Mary Bartolomeo and her granddaughter were taken to County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment. Bartolomeo was reported in fair condition.
