PALMDALE — A 36-year-old Palmdale woman died Saturday afternoon after her car collided with a pickup truck on Rancho Vista Boulevard, authorities said.
The woman was driving out of a Vons supermarket parking lot onto Rancho Vista Boulevard when her car was hit by a truck driven by James Goodell Jr., 29, of Palmdale, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy said.
The woman’s name was withheld pending notification of her family.
Two children, John Park, 9, and Janet Park, 7, both of Palmdale, were in the woman’s car but suffered only minor injuries, the deputy said. The children were friends of the woman driver, she said.
Goodell suffered minor cuts and was treated and released from Antelope Valley Hospital.
The sheriff’s spokeswoman said deputies were still investigating.
