World IN BRIEF : SPAIN : Car Bomb in Madrid Kills 6, Injures 15

In one of the worst attacks in Madrid in years, six people were killed and 15 injured in a car bomb explosion that police suspect was set by the Basque separatist group ETA. Those killed were civilians employed as mechanics or chauffeurs by the navy, police said. They were traveling home in an unmarked navy van when the bomb, placed in a parked car, exploded. The blast left bodies scattered in the street, cars burning and windows shattered in dozens of buildings.
