SANTA ANA — A 29-year-old man who suffered serious stab wounds during a fight at a house party last month has died, police said.
Marcos Limon of Santa Ana was hospitalized at UCI Medical Center in Orange on Nov. 18 after he was stabbed several times in the stomach during a fight at a party in the 1700 block of South Greenville Street, Police Lt. Bob Helton said.
An argument with a resident, Juan Rosas Ramos, 23, led to a fight outside. Ramos allegedly pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed Limon in the abdominal area several times, police said.
Ramos had been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, but authorities now will seek a murder charge, Helton said.
Investigators have not determined the motive for the killing, Helton said.
Ramos is awaiting trial and remains at Theo Lacy Branch Jail.
