Chaminade’s Clavendasher Scores Winner

Kerrie Clavendasher scored four minutes into overtime Wednesday to give the Chaminade girls’ soccer team a 3-2 Mission League victory over Notre Dame at Chaminade.
Michelle French scored the other two goals for the Eagles (12-6-1, 3-1-1 in league play), including one with two minutes remaining in regulation that tied the match, 2-2.
Sarah Morgan and Melissa Rubey scored for Notre Dame.
Westlake 1, Newbury Park 0--Stacia Spangler converted a penalty kick midway through the second half for the Warriors (8-4, 4-1) in a Marmonte League match at Westlake.
Thousand Oaks 1, Agoura 0--Kristie Nakamura scored for the Lancers (10-2-1, 4-1) in a Marmonte League defeat of the Chargers (10-2, 4-1) at Agoura.
La Reina 8, Fillmore 0--Alicia Bueschen and Samantha Conroy each scored twice and the Regents (9-5) defeated the Flashes (1-5-5) in a Tri-Valley league opener at Fillmore.
Granada Hills 2, Grant 2--Michele Duel scored two goals for the visiting Highlanders (3-4-2). Sarah Rothman and Veronica Vahena scored for Grant.

Cleveland 6, Granada Hills 1--Luis Castro scored three goals for the Cavaliers (7-1-2, 3-1-2) in a Northwest Valley Conference match at Granada Hills.
Chatsworth 3, El Camino Real 3--Mike Preis scored twice for the Chancellors (4-6-2, 2-2-1) in a Northwest Valley Conference tie at El Camino Real.
Kennedy 1, Taft 0--Jose Aguilar scored for the Golden Cougars (7-2-4, 3-1-1) in a Northwest Valley Conference match at Taft.
Birmingham 2, San Fernando 0--Jose Rivas and Gabriel Ortega scored for the Braves (7-0-1, 5-0) in a Northwest Valley Conference match at Birmingham.
Chaminade 1, Notre Dame 0--Bryan Kaye scored in the 26th minute and the Eagles (7-12-1, 1-5) defeated the Knights (5-3-1, 3-1-1) in a Mission League match at Notre Dame.
Royal 6, Channel Islands 1--Kendall Simmonds scored three goals and Brandon Kay scored two for the Highlanders (14-4-1, 5-0) in a Marmonte League match at Channel Islands.
Alemany 3, Crespi 0--Pat McMenamin scored twice and John Macdonald added his 24th goal for the Indians (9-8-1, 3-2) in a Mission League match at Alemany.
