In other Century League games:
Canyon 3, Villa Park 0--Carlo Cortez scored three goals in the second half to lead Canyon (13-8, 4-2).
Santa Ana Valley 2, El Modena 1--Jeobany Najarro, on an assist from Cesar Reynos, scored the game-winning goal for seventh-ranked Santa Ana Valley (14-4-2, 4-1-1). Reynos scored first for the Falcons.
In the Empire League:
Century 2, El Dorado 1--Alex Alfaro scored his 15th goal off Steve Cervantes’ assist in the 52nd minute for host Century (12-2-2, 4-0-2). The Centurions played with nine players for the final 60 minutes because two players received red cards.
Katella 1, Loara 1--Chris Chappell scored with less than two minutes to play in the game to tie the score for Katella (3-10-4, 1-3-2).
In the Freeway League:
Fullerton 1, La Habra 0--Alejandro Sanchez scored an unassisted goal in the 41st minute for host Fullerton (8-9-1, 5-0-1), which remained in first place.
Sunny Hills 1, Buena Park 0--Andy Volpp scored the winning goal with less than a minute remaining in the game to give 10th-ranked Sunny Hills (11-5-4, 5-1) the upset over seventh-ranked Buena Park (11-4-1, 2-3-1).
In the Garden Grove League:
Santiago 8, Bolsa Grande 0--Junior Albert Mendez set a school record for goals in a season after scoring four against Bolsa Grande. Mendez, who has 44 goals so far this season, broke his 40-goal record set last year. Ninth-ranked Santiago is 16-1-1, 7-1-1.
In the Golden West League:
Santa Ana 3, Saddleback 1 (OT)--Juan Reyes and Wilian Portillo scored in overtime to lift second-ranked Santa Ana (14-2-1, 5-0-1) past No. 10 Saddleback.
Westminster 2, Ocean View 1--Chris Brewer broke a 1-1 tie with a goal early in the second half for Westminster (10-7-2, 3-3). Manuel Tapia had given the Lions a 1-0 lead in the first half.
In the Orange League:
Brea Olinda 6, Magnolia 0--Todd Deck had his third hat trick of the season for visiting Brea Olinda (8-4-4, 5-1). Deck has 14 goals for the season.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Hills 4, Aliso Niguel 0--Bryan Doi had a goal and two assists for host Laguna Hills (9-8-3, 3-3).
In the Sea View League:
El Toro 3, Corona del Mar 0--Brian Stucker scored two goals and Ron Davis had the other for sixth-ranked El Toro (13-2-4, 4-0-2), which led, 1-0, at the half.
Newport Harbor 4, Irvine 2--Jeremy Ellis, Garrett Jansing and Chris Wakim each scored second-half goals to lead Newport Harbor (14-5-4, 3-2-2).
Santa Margarita 2, Woodbridge 1--Brian Piesner, off an assist by Timothy Pierce, scored the winning goal with 10 seconds left in the game for No. 4 Santa Margarita (12-5-2, 5-1-1).
In the South Coast League:
San Clemente 2, Capistrano Valley 0--Matt Hall and Chris Difriai scored second-half goals and goalkeeper Kevin Mehrens recorded his eighth shutout for San Clemente (10-7-3, 2-3-2).
In the Sunset League:
Esperanza 2, Huntington Beach 1--Mark Rodieck scored on a direct kick in the 78th minute to break a 1-1 tie for host Esperanza (18-2-2, 6-0), the top-ranked team in the county and second-ranked in Division I.
Los Alamitos 1, Edison 0--Mike Lalonde scored the game-winning goal in the first half for visiting Los Alamitos (8-8-1, 2-3-1).
Marina 3, Fountain Valley 2 (OT)--After regulation the score was tied at 1-1. Three goals were scored in the final five minutes of overtime. Omar Guerrero and Josh Burns each scored for Marina (8-10, 2-4).
