Funding Plea From Oxnard Library
As our geographic area grows, the demands upon the library increase, both for materials and for services. We at the Oxnard Public Library attempt to meet the needs and desires of the community as far as possible within the confines of our budget. To continue and improve our collection of material, we will need:
* A greater selection of books in Spanish and Tagalog.
* Updates of our business, consumer, legal and medical collections.
New software and discs for the new collection of CD-ROMs available for checkout and increased funding for our adult and children’s programming.
During February, a flier will be sent out with city utility bills that will provide residents with the opportunity to help us with the above projects. This is our first attempt to seek a new source of funding for the Oxnard Public Library.
Our goal for this year’s Library Reading Drive is $25,000. We know we can count on our customers to join us in strengthening the collection of the Oxnard Public Library so that it may continue its vital contribution to the quality of life in our area.
