Free Tax-Form Help for Seniors Offered

Free federal and state tax-preparation assistance will be offered at senior centers and social service agencies to seniors who earned a low or moderate income last year.
* Agoura Hills Recreation Center will provide assistance to seniors 50 and older at 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Agoura Hills. Appointments are required and must be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through April 9.

* Trained volunteers will provide income-tax assistance from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays through April 13 at the Burbank Joslyn Adult Center, 1301 W. Olive Ave. Participants must register at 8 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Saturday.

* The American Assn. of Retired Persons will provide trained volunteers to help seniors 60 and older prepare their income tax returns from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays through April 11 at McCambridge Park, 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank.

* Community volunteers will assist seniors 60 and older from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Wednesday through April 10 at the Montrose-Crescenta Library, 2465 Honolulu Ave., Montrose.

* The North Valley Jewish Community will offer tax assistance on Fridays through April 15 at 16601 Rinaldi St., Granada Hills. Appointments are required and will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.

* Sunland Senior Citizen Center will also provide tax-preparation assistance to seniors 60 and older from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays through April 9, at 8640 Fenwick Ave.
