Prosecutors Want Boy Tried as Adult

Prosecutors said Wednesday that they will seek to have a 15-year-old Moorpark boy accused of battery and sexual assault tried as an adult. A hearing was scheduled for March 1, when he is also expected to enter a plea.
The youth was arrested Friday after allegedly attacking a 19-year-old woman acquaintance near a Metrolink station. He is charged with two counts of battery and one count of forced oral copulation.
He is being held without bail at Ventura County Juvenile Hall.
