First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton resumed her book tour, greeting well-wishers who bought a copy of her book, “It Takes a Village and Other Lessons Children Teach Us,” amid criticism that taxpayers are footing the bill for her trip. At a Denver bookstore the first lady shook hands and shared small talk with about 1,900 people. Radio station KOA asked listeners to voice their opinion on whether taxpayers should be billed for the trip, and by a margin of 6 to 1, they said it was not right.
