Bolsa Chica Session to Discuss Legal Issues
- Share via
A City Council subcommittee studying Bolsa Chica development decided Monday to hold a closed meeting Feb. 26 with the full council to discuss potential litigation regarding the recently approved housing project on the mesa and wetlands.
On Jan. 11, the California Coastal Commission voted to allow the Koll Real Estate Group to build 3,300 homes on and around the wetlands.
The project also calls for a $48-million plan to restore the wetlands.
As a result of the approval, several environmental groups have vowed to challenge the commission’s decision in court.
