1 Killed in Crash

ORANGE — One person was killed Tuesday when a car plunged off the Garden Grove Freeway and down an embankment, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The victim’s name was not available late Tuesday. According to a CHP dispatcher, the car was traveling west on the freeway about 8:40 p.m. when it veered off the road and landed near Parker Street and La Veta Avenue.
The cause of the accident was not known Tuesday.
