Laguna Blanca Beats Orangewood Academy

GARDEN GROVE — Santa Barbara Laguna Blanca took an early lead and held on to defeat Orangewood Academy, 79-71, in a first-round Southern Section Division V-A boys’ basketball playoff game Thursday at Orangewood.
David Cochran scored 28 points for Laguna Blanca (13-11), which led, 26-10, after one quarter.
David Spuehler scored 22 points and Matt Bennie 20 for Orangewood (12-10).
