The Bay Area’s Best: Chris Isaak won five “Bammies” at the 19th annual Bay Area Music Awards on Saturday in San Francisco. The Stockton native was named Bay Area musician of the year and outstanding male vocalist. Isaak and his band, Silvertone, were honored for outstanding album (“Forever Blue”), outstanding song (“Somebody’s Crying”) and outstanding group. Joan Baez won for outstanding female vocalist, Carlos Santana for outstanding guitarist and John Lee Hooker for outstanding blues album (“Chill Out”).
