During a week in which all the big guns held close to their previous chart positions, a voice from the past swooped into the upper reaches of the singles rankings. “Real Love,” the second Beatles “reunion” song to be built on a John Lennon home recording, registered at No. 2 on The Times’ Southern California singles chart, and No. 5 nationally.
