2 Honored as Trial Judges of the Year

Two local jurists have been honored as Superior and Municipal court trial judges of the year by the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Assn.
Judge John J. Hunter was named the 1995 Superior Court Trial Judge of the Year, and Judge Bruce A. Clark received the 1995 Municipal Court Judge of the Year honor.
The accolades came last week during Judge’s Night, a yearly banquet sponsored by local trial lawyers.
The awards are designed to recognize the wisdom, wit, patience and understanding of judges, organizers said. Prosecutors, defense attorneys, civil and corporate attorneys and members of the Ventura County Bar Assn. voted on the honors.
Also recognized was retired Superior Court Judge James M. McNally. A portrait of the retired judge will be hung in Courtroom 22 at the Hall of Justice.
