PROJECT : Spear Points

Bring spring to your table: Try an asparagus dressing. It gives an unusual presentation to a few simple flowers.

You will need:

1 thick rubber band

1 bud vase or straight-sided tall glass

1 to 2 bunches asparagus

1 wide ribbon

3 tulips

Place rubber band around vase. Gently pull rubber band away from vase and slide asparagus stalks, cut-end-down, between vase and band. Place stalks all the way around, alternating thick and thin spears if they vary. Tie wide ribbon around asparagus. Cut rubber band. Fill vase with water and add tulips.
