A Spreadable Vintage
“Share a glass of wine in the moonlight . . . spread wine in the morning.” That’s the romantic suggestion on the label of Breakfast Wine, a line of jellies made with Cabernets, Chardonnays and other premium varietals from Santa Barbara County. The first vintage, released in April, consists of Chardonnay Passion, Muscat Love, Pinot Mon Cherry and Cuvee Berry Amore. Produced by New West Foods of Buellton, the jellies are available at county wineries, including Bedford Thompson, Fess Parker and Firestone, which supplied wines for the initial batch.

Pot Luck Holder
Backpack chic has hit the potluck circuit. This insulated carrying case from Corning’s new Pyrex Portables line comes with two temperature control packs, one for hot dishes, one for cold food, and your choice of a rectangular baking dish, casserole or bowl. Now it’s possible to transport food to a potluck or picnic so that it stays at perfect serving temperature until everyone’s ready to eat. This means you don’t have to clutter up someone else’s refrigerator or compete for oven space. Each container has a snap-on lid that prevents spills en route and is microwaveable. An outside pocket holds serving utensils.
