GOP Agenda

After reading The Times, I have some questions that need to be answered. Is it true that Republican members of the House talk about balancing the budget, but added $12.4 billion more to the Department of Defense budget than was requested by the military? Is it true that most of these funds are slated for the development of weapons not requested by the military, and as a result fund the military/industrial complex?
Is it also true that American citizens are being threatened in their homes on the Texas border, at gunpoint, by invading armies of drug smugglers (July 7), but there is no money to protect American citizens in their own country?
Is it true these same Republicans think they are supporting family values and protecting American citizens? Is it true there is a major election in November?
