Lake Tahoe Likely as Clinton Getaway

Lake Tahoe has edged ahead of other vacation spots as the most likely location for the first family’s time off this summer.
President Clinton, wife Hillary and daughter Chelsea are considering a trip to the Northern California resort during the second week of August, while the Republican convention is underway, White House officials said.
Yosemite National Park and Traverse City, Mich., have also been under consideration. But White House schedulers found it would have been difficult to find housing for the White House entourage for a full week at the height of vacation season.
