Area Teams Featured in Little League Event

Conejo Valley Little League is hosting the senior division (14-15 year-olds) state tournament, beginning Saturday at Cal Lutheran and Thousand Oaks High.

Teams from the area in the eight-team tournament are Thousand Oaks and La Crescenta. Most of the players on the Thousand Oaks team were members of the league’s 1994 world series champion 13-year-old team.

The tournament opens with games at noon and 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The winner of the tournament, which concludes Thursday, advances to the western regional.
