I cannot pass up commenting on your article on group travel (“Group Travel Travails,” Sept. 22.)
I want you to know that in September 1982, my cousin and I took an American Express tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland with 45 other bus passengers, and it was perfect.
No latecomers, whiners, sourpusses or compulsive shoppers. We were a decidedly mixed group, age- and ethnicity-wise.
