Air Exposition to Feature the Best of Aviation’s Past and Future

Flyovers and a ground display of more than 125 military, antique and experimental aircraft highlight an air show this weekend at Long Beach Municipal Airport.
Three aviation pioneers, including the only woman to receive the Air Medal in World War II, are scheduled to receive Pioneer Awards at the Wings Over Long Beach exposition today and Sunday.
Sponsored by McDonnell Douglas and Toyota Motor Sales’ Airflite, the event will benefit youth and education programs, including Toys for Tots and Miller Children’s Hospital at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
Admission is free to children under 12 and $5 for adults. The airport is at 4100 Donald Douglas Drive. For information call (310) 570-2678.
