CSUN Admissions Orientation Planned

College applicants who want to avoid the torture of the admissions waiting game may attend an On-Site Admissions Day for freshman-class and transfer applicants Monday at Cal State Northridge.

The event will feature instant admission decisions, campus tours, opportunities to meet faculty and staff, and information on financial aid and housing. Parents are also invited to attend information sessions.

“If students are missing any particular requirement, this will allow more time for them” to remedy that, said Ludim de Manzano, director of student outreach and recruitment services. “It’s early enough that they can still take care of things in the spring and summer.”

De Manzano said Northridge is the first of several CSU campuses to offer the service.

High school seniors must bring a transcript showing work through their junior year, a completed CSU application and $55 fee or fee waiver form, and proof of citizenship.

Transfer students must have completed 56 or more transferable units with a minimum grade-point average of 2.0 and bring a completed application and fee or fee waiver form.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the University Student Union. Information and appointments are available by calling (818) 677-2967.
