Hart High pitcher Bobby Graves signed a letter of intent with Oklahoma, spurning several other offers, including Georgia Tech, Michigan and Notre Dame.
Graves, a left-handed reliever and a four-year varsity player, had 81 strikeouts in 57 innings and a 3.17 earned-run average last season.
Verdugo Hills catcher Jodi Kent signed a letter of intent with Illinois State.
Kent, who was selected to The Times’ 1996 All-Valley first team, hit .500 with six home runs and 33 runs batted in as the Dons won the City Section 3-A title.
Kent also considered Oklahoma.
