Foster Child Care

* Having read “State Agency Fails to Monitor Foster Care, Lawsuit Charges,” Oct. 24, I am once again appalled at the fact that Orange County Social Services Agency Director Larry Leaman still has his job!
Isn’t this the same person who authorized marriages between underage girls and the adult men who impregnated them? This is just another example of how this agency, which is paid with our tax dollars, is not doing the job it is being paid to do.
As a former foster parent, I know firsthand how the agency fails to protect these children and usually uses one of two excuses, “the case loads are too heavy,” or “once in a while a case will slip through our hands.”
