KCAL-TV to Replace News Director Henry

Changes continue at KCAL-TV Channel 9 in the wake of the station’s acquisition by Young Broadcasting, with longtime news director Bob Henry giving up that position but remaining at the station in an as-yet-undefined capacity.

Executive producer Keith Esparros and news business affairs director Beth Maharrey will oversee the department on an interim basis while a permanent replacement for Henry is sought.

Last week KCAL announced the elimination of 55 positions station-wide.
