Woman’s Body Found in Car Trunk

LANCASTER — The body of a woman was found in the trunk of a car Friday, according to authorities.
Few details about the dead woman were available late Friday, said Deputy Elsa Avila, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“We only have preliminary information,” she said, adding that it wasn’t clear who had alerted authorities to the car.
Deputies located the body about 3 p.m. at the rear of a building in the 44000 block of Division Street, according to authorities.
The woman was described only as an adult, Avila said.
