In other Tournament of Champion games:
Servite 69, La Puente Nogales 63--Steve Shea scored 14 points and had 14 rebounds in a victory for Servite. Chris Killens had 15 points for the Friars and Steve Hogan and Dennis Wisco each scored 13 points.
Ocean View 62, Highland 54--Jason Martini scored 16 points for Ocean View (2-2) in a consolation game.
In the Costa Mesa Tournament:
Los Amigos 55, Santiago 50--Maurice Walker had 14 points and John Elsaesser scored 12 for Los Amigos (3-2).
Costa Mesa 52, Saddleback 38--Matt Chaisson had 18 points and Todd Hylton got 11 rebounds for Costa Mesa. Derrick Barnes had 11 points for Saddleback.
In the El Segundo Tournament:
Canyon 51, Inglewood South Bay Lutheran 31--Canyon’s Ali Goodman had a game-high 18 points. Scott Reed had eight rebounds and Scott Haney had five assists for Canyon (2-3).
In the Fullerton Tournament:
Fullerton 47, La Mirada 44--Brandon Rosenthal made two free-throws for Fullerton to give the Indians a three-point lead with 10 seconds to play. Andrew Stadel and David Brookman each scored 12 points for Fullerton (3-1), which plays in the championship game at 8 tonight against Whittier California.
Bolsa Grande 66, Brethren Christian 58--Duc Nguyen scored 22 of his 29 points in the second half as the Matadors overcame a four-point halftime deficit in the pool-play game.
Nguyen, a 6-0 junior guard, scored 11 points, including three three-pointers, in the third quarter, in which Bolsa Grande (3-4) outscored Brethren Christian, 20-14.
Marina 69, Lakewood Mayfair 61--Scott Rivera scored 19 points and had six assists for Marina. Teammate Scott Austin added 15 points.
In the La Quinta tournament:
Huntington Beach 45, La Quinta 37--Huntington Beach rallied in the fourth quarter to outscore La Quinta, 15-6, in pool play. Chris Basich had 17 points to lead Huntington Beach (3-0). Scott Ogilvie scored 13 points for La Quinta (1-2).
In the Valley Christian Tournament:
Anaheim 46, Brentwood 37--Forward Steve Torres scored 16 points and teammate Shu Todoroki had 11 assist for Anaheim (3-2) in the consolation game.
In the Vista tournament:
El Modena 58, La Costa 52--George Gurrola scored 20 points and Nick Soderstrom had 11 for El Modena (3-4) in the fifth place semifinal game.
In nonleague games:
Kennedy 42, Buena Park 41--Dinsmore Sohn made a free throw with three seconds left as Kennedy (6-1) slipped past Buena Park. Sohn had missed the first of two free throws.
Brain McDonald had tied the score at 41-41 for Buena Park (3-3) with 23 seconds left.
Woodbridge 65, Tustin 45--Chris Burgess had 17 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots in a nonleague victory for Woodbridge (4-1). Brandon Beeson scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds for the Warriors.
Sunny Hills 51, El Dorado 46--Jason Maughan had 20 points for Sunny Hills. Ryan Ayer scored 20 for El Dorado.
Sonora 71, Brea Olinda 51--Ben Jones scored 25 points and had four steals and Josh Lein scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Sonora. Chris McMillan scored 22 for Brea Olinda.
