* BROWN (1-7) at LOYOLA MARYMOUNT (2-8)
Time--7. Radio--KXLU-FM (88.9).
Hope for Loyola Marymount to snap its seven-game losing streak arrives in the shape of another struggling team. The Lions lost to Providence, 83-76, on Saturday, but showed signs that their luck could soon turn. They had five players score in double figures, led by backup center Peter Cornell and guard Tim Kennedy with 19 points each, and displayed the energy and spark they lacked in several of their previous games. Brown started the season with five consecutive road losses. The Bears lost to Cal State Fullerton, 61-57, on Saturday. Sophomore guard Aaron Butler leads Brown with 14.2 points. This is Brown’s eighth road game.
