Montreal defenseman Patrice Brisebois will undergo surgery today after he suffered a separated right shoulder Saturday against the New York Islanders. He will be out at least six weeks. Additionally, Canadien right wing Valeri Bure suffered a mild concussion in a collision with the Islanders’ Bryan Smolinski and is listed as day-to-day. . . . Penguin goalie Tom Barrasso had surgery on his shoulder Friday and is out indefinitely. He has not played since Nov. 1.
