Coming Attractions

Here’s a look at key games for UC Irvine this week:

* Men’s basketball plays at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Thursday and at UC Santa Barbara Saturday. The Anteaters have lost 14 consecutive games, dating back to last season. The school record for consecutive losses is 15, set during the 1989-90 season.

* Women’s basketball hosts San Luis Obispo Friday and Santa Barbara Sunday. Irvine leads the conference in scoring defense, giving up 63.7 points per game.

* Men’s tennis opens its season against Loyola Marymount Wednesday and Southern Methodist Saturday at the UCI Tennis Center. Irvine was 14-11 last season.

* Men’s and women’s swimming and diving will compete in the UCLA Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center.
