Volunteers Sought for Annual Festival

Simi Valley Days organizers are searching for people to volunteer as leaders for several events, including those interested in staffing the carnival gate and ticket booths.
Organizers said this year’s event will be held at a new site--at the north end of 1st Street--which will need many improvements and extra fund-raising efforts.
The Simi Valley Days Committee needs volunteers for the Car Rally, Chili Cook-Off & Car Show, Picnic Day and on-site supervisor.
Organizers will also have a new event called the Corriganville Trail Ride, where residents will be able to roll through the historic parkland where thousands of motion pictures and television shows were filmed.
“That’s really going to be a fine addition to the Simi Valley Days lineup,” co-chairman Ed Levine said.
For information, contact organizers Levine at 526-0100, Andy Macek at 526-0724, or Jo Ann Macek at 581-4280.
