Microsemi Corp.: The Santa Ana semiconductor company reported that net income for the first fiscal quarter was up 36% to $1.9 million, or 19 cents a share, from $1.4 million, or 15 cents a share, for the like quarter a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 29 increased to $35.8 million from $35.3 million.
