Re “Looking for a New Ship to Come In,” about Ridgecrest, Jan. 27: We’re not waiting for just any old ship; we’ve identified the cargo and can see the sails on the horizon. Ridgecrest is the next retirement haven of the Southwest, with affordable housing, high-desert climate, clean air and water, no crime or congestion and a well-educated population. We’re looking for high-tech businesses that want to grow in a nurturing, stimulating environment.
