Pat LaFontaine, a 14-year veteran sidelined since Nov. 7 because of complications related to a concussion, has begun skating drills in Buffalo but is still not sure he will play again.
LaFontaine has experienced spells of dizziness, nausea and severe headaches since sustaining the injury in October, although the symptoms have been more spread apart recently.
LaFontaine has appointments scheduled for Feb. 13-14 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He is hoping to get more information from doctors before deciding whether to resume his career.
