Trebil Not Showing His Inexperience

There’s been a lot of scrutiny of the Ducks’ inexperienced defense corps, but Coach Ron Wilson says Dan Trebil, the most inexperienced of them all, has been “arguably our best defenseman.”

Trebil, 22, has only 12 NHL games to his credit, but Wilson had him on the ice at crunch time during a victory over Washington and a tie against Detroit in crucial games last weekend.

The NHL didn’t announce a ruling on J.J. Daigneault’s appeal of his 10-game suspension Tuesday, but the Ducks were still hoping for a result before tonight’s game against Ottawa.
