King update--The first period has not been good for the Kings in their last two games, losses to Edmonton and the New York Rangers. They were outscored, 2-0, each time. Goaltender Byron Dafoe will start his second consecutive game for the first time since Feb. 1. Defenseman Rob Blake, who has been out because of a knee injury the last three weeks, practiced Friday and may play tonight.
Senator update--They are four points away from the final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. Ottawa has given up 41 goals in 211 short-handed situations; only New Jersey has had to face fewer power plays.
