Oxnard Takes a Walk Right Past Glendale, 8-7

Jason McAuliffe’s bases-loaded walk scored Jack Wilson with the winning run in the bottom of the 13th inning and Oxnard defeated Glendale, 8-7, in a Western State Conference interdivisional game on Tuesday.
Wilson and Chuck Harrington each had three hits for Oxnard (15-14, 8-7 in conference play).
In another baseball game:
Ventura 3, Valley 2--Jeremy Pierce had three hits and scored once to lead Ventura in a WSC game at Ventura (17-12, 6-9).
Steve Guerrero and Matt Tays each had two hits for the Monarchs (5-25-3, 4-11).
SOFTBALL
Moorpark 8, Valley 2--Bonnie Lehigh and Jessica Leivo each had two hits for Valley (13-17, 5-4) in a WSC game at Valley.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Pepperdine d. Loyola Marymount, 15-6, 15-8, 15-4--Peter Kodascy had 11 kills and Kevin Barnett and George Roumain each had 10 kills for Pepperdine (18-6, 13-4) in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match at Malibu.
MEN’S TENNIS
USC 5, Pepperdine 2--No. 4 player Michael Jessup and No. 5 Troy Budgen won for Pepperdine (17-6).
WOMEN’S TENNIS
CS Northridge 9, CS Los Angeles 0--Amy Peterson won at No. 1 singles to lift the Matadors (2-13) in a nonconference match.
