Beaten Man Found at Church Dies

SANTA CLARITA — A 19-year-old found badly beaten in a church parking lot died Monday at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
The victim--whose name was withheld pending notification of his family--was discovered at 5:30 a.m. Sunday at Grace Baptist Church in the 24700 block of Quigley Canyon Road, said Sheriff’s Sgt. David Halm.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives had no suspects or motive for the beating, Halm said.
