Poll Moved
I have seen several complaints about voter apathy in L.A. The reason this voter didn’t cast a ballot on April 8 was because when I arrived at my easy-to-find Sunset Boulevard polling place, it was inexplicably closed. A cardboard sign informed me that my polling place had moved to an address that I had never heard of before. No map, no phone number, just a mystery address that I could not find.
I, and undoubtedly countless others, would have happily voted on election day, but some unorganized bureaucrat made it impossible to do so. Thanks for nothing.
