Olbermann Reprimanded by ESPN

Sportscaster Keith Olbermann is taking an ordered two-week leave of absence from ESPN after making an unauthorized appearance on a competing cable network, Comedy Central.
Olbermann, a guest of Craig Kilborn on Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” on April 16, joked with the audience about keeping his appearance a secret.
During a segment, Kilborn, a friend and former ESPN colleague of Olbermann, asked him to name the most Godforsaken place on the East Coast. Olbermann said Bristol, Conn., which happens to be the home of ESPN.
ESPN executive producer John A. Walsh said Olbermann and the network are involved in a number of issues and that a brief respite was in order “to gain perspective.”
