Another Dumais Is Channel Diving Champ

Buena High’s Justin Dumais has won the past two Southern Section Division I diving titles and has signed a letter of intent with USC, but hadn’t won the Channel League title since his freshman year in 1994. That changed Thursday, when he scored 607.55 to outscore his brother, Brice, at Dos Pueblos High.

Troy Dumais, a third brother who won the league title the past two years, was competing in a USA Grand Prix meet in Florida. Justin is a senior, Troy a junior and Brice a sophomore.

Sarah Quijano of Santa Barbara won the girls’ title with 423.26 points, ahead of Jessica Kolb, Erin Eriquez and Kim Lee, all of Rio Mesa.
