The Carnegie Art Museum and Heritage Square will hold their second annual Historic Oxnard Spring Tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at both locations in downtown Oxnard.
The Carnegie Art Museum, 424 South C St., will decorate its galleries with floral arrangements by local designers.
Visitors will also have a chance to hear Bob Edberg, owner of Limberlost Roses in Van Nuys, speak on garden roses. They can also see a slide show titled “A Photographic Tour of Lotusland” by Steven Timbrook, executive director of the Ganna Walska Lotusland garden in Montecito.
There also will be floral photography exhibits, tips from growers and a plant sale.
Three blocks away at 715 South A St., Heritage Square will offer guided tours through five turn-of-the-century Victorian houses and the 1906 Heritage Square Chapel.
The chapel contains a display of wedding gowns dating back to the 19th century.
Flowers and plants, including potted and cut flowers, orchids, herbs, house plants and floral arrangements, will be sold along with craft items in the main plaza of Heritage Square.
Admission to the event is $5 and reservations are recommended. Proceeds will benefit the Heritage Square and Carnegie Museum’s educational programs.
For more information, call the Carnegie Museum at 385-8157 or Heritage Square at 483-7960 or 385-7545.
